Hundreds of high school and junior high school students from North Sumatra (North Sumatra) are honing their English skills through competition in IT&B English League at Mahoni Street, Medan, Saturday (30/1). Activities initiated by the IT&B organization lasted four days (28-31 January 2016). In a press release received by Medan Bisnis, Tuesday (23/2), IT&B President Warriors Jenny said the event was held for the third time. The categories included are story writing, general english test, speech and news casting for high school level. While the categories are competed for junior level of debate and scrabble with a total prize of millions of rupiah, certificates and trophies. Jenny said that the competition involves local and national jury teams such as from Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) and IT&B Campus and Bengkulu University. IT&B Campus Managing Director Dr. Agus Susanto Tan in his speech at IT&B English League competition admitted strongly support the activity. Agus Susanto considers that IT&B is an English-based campus feels important to appreciate IT&B English Warriors program in order to improve English competence among students. “English competition becomes crucial to face global competition and technological progress, especially now that we have entered the era of ASEAN economic community or MEA,” said Agus Susanto.
