Institut Bisnis IT&B Receives Award from the International Buddhist Society (IBS) and the Mahanikaya Buddhist Council of Indonesia (MBMI)

On June 14, 2025, Institut Bisnis IT&B received a prestigious award from the International Buddhist Society (IBS) of Thailand and the Mahanikaya Buddhist Council of Indonesia (MBMI).

“This is the first time Institut Bisnis IT&B has collaborated with the International Buddhist Society and the Mahanikaya Buddhist Council of Indonesia in organizing the IMEC Buddhist Olympiad, which took place towards the end of 2024,” stated Ir. Albert Masli, S.E., S.P., M.M., M.Pd., Director of Student Affairs at Institut Bisnis IT&B.

He further explained that Institut Bisnis IT&B successfully earned the highest average score in Indonesia in the university category of the IMEC Buddhist Olympiad.

“We are truly proud and honored by the achievements of our students. Their outstanding performance led to our institution being recognized with the highest national average score. As a result, we were invited to Thailand to receive this international award,” added Ir. Albert Masli.

During the award ceremony, the Rector of Institut Bisnis IT&B, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Susanto Tan, accompanied by Ir. Albert Masli, welcomed the honorary guests and received the award. He emphasized the importance of continuous collaboration between academic institutions and external organizations.

“Over the past year, the International Buddhist Society, the Mahanikaya Buddhist Council of Indonesia, and Institut Bisnis IT&B have actively collaborated. We hope that such partnerships will continue to create positive impact for society and bring value to all stakeholders involved,” stated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Susanto Tan.

He also expressed hope that the collaboration would bring ongoing blessings to all parties—Institut Bisnis IT&B, the International Buddhist Society, and the Mahanikaya Buddhist Council of Indonesia.

The representative of the International Buddhist Society, Venerable Phra Somchai Sukantho MT., expressed his appreciation during the award presentation, thanking Institut Bisnis IT&B for its support and participation in hosting the IMEC Buddhist Olympiad.

“We at the International Buddhist Society highly appreciate the leadership and students of Institut Bisnis IT&B. Their students achieved the highest average university score in Indonesia. We hope that this kind of collaboration will continue in the future, shaping the younger generation into individuals of strong character who contribute positively to their families and communities in Indonesia,” said Venerable Phra Somchai Sukantho MT.
