Institut Bisnis IT&B in collaboration with the Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in Medan held a seminar on Chinese and World Culture, which took place in the Hall on the 4th Floor of the Institut Bisnis IT&B, Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
The seminar featured the Deputy Consul General of China in Medan, Song Jian Ming; Deputy Consul, Zhang Yi Chen as a speaker and the entourage of the Chinese Consulate in Medan, including Yang Zheng Ming who was also a speaker; Yu Lei; Liu Wen Yi; Rector of the IT&B Business Institute, Assoc Prof Dr. Agus Susanto and the IT&B Business Institute community.
The seminar also discussed the Bandung Conference, which raised content around China and Indonesia joining hands to build Asia-Africa solidarity.
Rector of Institut Bisnis IT&B, Assoc Prof Dr Agus Susanto Tan welcomed the Deputy Consul of China in Medan, Song Jian Ming and his entourage to Institut Bisnis IT&B.
“The presence of the Chinese Consulate group in Medan to the Institut Bisnis IT&B is an honor for us, we can exchange ideas and thoughts and increase our knowledge about Chinese culture in the world,” said Assoc Prof Dr Agus Susanto Tan.
According to him, in this seminar the IT&B Business Institute academics obtained a lot of information about China’s economic development in the world.
“In the dialogue, the Institut Bisnis IT&B academics had the opportunity to directly convey to the representatives of the Chinese Consulate in Medan about China’s rapidly developing culture and economy,” he said.
Assoc Prof Dr Agus Susanto Tan hopes that the cooperation between the Institut Bisnis IT&B and the Chinese Consulate in Medan will not end here, but on other occasions they can exchange more information, so that the Institut Bisnis IT&B academics are more interested in studying in China.
“Like the saying ‘Seek Knowledge Even to China’, it can motivate the IT&B Business Institute academics to further develop themselves and their potential to study in China,” he said.
