The Covid-19 virus, which has a tremendous impact, has attracted the attention of many people. In fact, the campus was also affected.

“Many campus activities have been delayed by the Corona Virus,” said Dr. Agus Susanto Tan, Managing Director of IT&B Medan.

One of the impacts felt is the Sumatra Overland Varsity English Debate (SOVED) 2020 activity which should be held in May 2020.

The SOVED is planned to be joined by hundreds of students from various private and state universities in Sumatra.

The host of this competition was IB IT&B Medan.

Along with the event, IB IT&B held a bazaar which was attended by all students from various study programs at IB IT&B, but because of the Covid-19 virus the activity was temporarily suspended.

Instead, the SOVED 2020 activity will be conducted online on August 8-9, 2020 using the Zoom application.

The tournament was organized by IT&B English Warriors in collaboration with the Medan SOVED Team.

English Warriors is one of the student activity units at IB IT&B that trains students to debate English.

Pandemik Covid-19 has demanded lecturers, students and IB IT&B academicians to be more creative and innovative in filling student activities online.

“In any case, the show must go on. I hope that we always spread enthusiasm and support and give it to our fellow teaching staff and younger siblings. So that the teaching and learning process can be carried out well, and students can understand to the fullest. Keep up the spirits, spread love and care wherever you are, “concluded Dr. Agus Susanto Tan.
