IB IT&B received a visit from Hanshan Normal University (HSNU) Chaozhou, Guandong China on Monday (4/6). HSNU is one of the oldest universities in Guandong province, founded in 1913 and has been established for 115 years. Vice President of HSNU, Prof. Zhan Bifu, said that the university has 18 faculties and 54 majors. The purpose of this visit is to establish cooperation in the field of education such as student exchanges, lecturers, and others. Prof Huang Jingzhong, Director of HSNU Academic Affairs Department said it was happy to cooperate with IB IT&B, especially in hotel management major. Considering IB IT&B is the only private college in Medan that offers the D4 Program in Hospitality Management and has been equivalent to S1.
While Prof Chen Jing, Dean of HSNU Hospitality Department said his admiration for the IB IT&B Hospitality management program that became the flagship program of IB IT&B is currently in demand for prospective students in Medan. Dr. Agus Susanto Tan, Managing Director of IB IT&B, accompanied by IB IT&B Rector, Rosita Bangun, SE, M.Si, explained that IB IT&B Hospitality Management program graduates have worked in prominent hotels in major cities in Indonesia such as Ritz Carlton – Bali, JW Marriot – Medan, Bvlgari Hotel – Bali, Ayana & Rimba – Bali, Sofitel – Bali, and more.
Dr Lin Guanwen, Director of HSNU Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Department, admitted that he was interested in the program at IB IT&B, and will discuss more about this cooperation so that students and lecturers can continue their studies in S2, and vice versa. Also present at the occasion were Head of Study Program IB IT&B, Vice Rectors, lecturers of IB IT&B, and Pdt. Hetty Lunny. Mrs. Roswita Gunawan, and Jimi from Kalam Kudus School Medan.
