On July 1, announcement had been made that three Accounting students Intake 2017, Cynthia Chandra, Rosella Fernando and Vallenssya Mayke Putri successfully became the Top 5 Finalist in Accounting Olympiad, NECTION 2019, held by Semarang State University (UNNES). Accounting Olympiad, NECTION 2019, is the newest national accounting competition/Olympiad organized by the Semarang State University (UNNES) for all of the active Accounting students throughout Indonesia from D3 to S1 levels in any college. The topic on this latest competition in 2019 is: “Improve your Passion be Millennial Accountant in Era of Disruption”.
The Head of Accounting Study Program, Deva Djohan, BCom, MM, MBA said “We actually always encourage the Accounting students to join this kind of prestigious Accounting National Competition to prove that the students can show their ability in Accounting theoretically and practically not only in the college but also nationally. Once the students are confident that they can use their knowledge in the competition, thus, one day they will be confident to apply their ability in the working environment too.”
Since the Accounting students have successfully achieved the Top 5 scores from 81 universities competing from the whole Indonesia such as Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Univeristas Sebelas Maret and many others, this has proved that Accounting students from IB IT&B are ready to become a credible and millennial accountant corresponding to the topic of this competition which is to Improve your Passion be Millenial Accountant in Era of Disruption.
